Overcoming the Monster: facing the end game of COVID-19

About the Speaker:

Stephen Taylor, MD, is the chief medical officer at UofL Health – Peace Hospital.  A graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. Taylor is in private practice at River City Psychiatry where he combines medication management and psychotherapy. Before joining River City Psychiatry, Dr. Taylor was medical director of Peace Counseling and served as a psycho-pharmacologist conducting medication management for various psychiatric conditions, performed more than 6,000 ECT treatments and provided care for both outpatients and inpatients from Peace Hospital. He has completed a two-year course in advanced psychotherapy at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute and is currently a candidate in psychoanalysis at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute.

Dr. Taylor also served as gratis faculty at the University of Louisville, and as a member of the executive faculty. In 2013, he received a certificate of excellence in teaching medical students and residents and received the University of Louisville School of Medicine’s teaching award in 2012.

A native of Kansas City, Dr. Taylor was raised in Mississippi and moved to Louisville in 1986.
