Shelbyville has a population of 17,257. It is the 24th largest city in Kentucky. Shelbyville is currently growing at a rate of 1.99% annually and its population has increased by 22.87% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 14,045 in 2010. Shelbyville reached it's highest population of 17,257 in 2021. Spanning over 9 miles, Shelbyville has a population density of 1,971 people per square mile.
German American is a very strong financial services provider in southern Indiana and Kentucky, specializing in banking, insurance, investments and wealth management for business and retail customers. In 1910, German American was founded in a community located in the heart of the Ohio Valley Region, which was rich in German American heritage.

Sanders Medical Campus just 30 minutes east of downtown Louisville.
